I can't believe I forgot!
I forgot the most important thing about daddy's "staycation!" He will be planting the GARDEN! We'll see how the upside down tomato plant hanger works and his efforts to keep the animals out goes. But I'm excited, and you should be too, for all of the fresh veggies we're going to have! Tomatos, romaine lettuce, onions (mommy's favorite)-walla walla and red-, cucumbers, japalenos (ahh!), green and yellow peppers, green beans (o.k. maybe this is my favorite), and zuchini...and um, I think that's it! Anyway, look forward to some good fresh veggies :) And we'll have plenty to give away if anyone out there wants some!

Dear Peanut,
ReplyDeleteYour daddy is the best, he grows the nicest veggies in his garden and he lets us all come and enjoy the feast of his labors. Of course, sometimes he puts us to work, but mostly we just get to enjoy the fruits of his labor of love. I am very happy to know that you will be growing very healthy in mommy's tummy with all the veggies from the garden.
Too bad he isn't growing any watermelons, mommy could hold one up to her and know exactly how your grammy felt when she was pregnant with her!!!
By the way Peanut, did you know that at 11:59 a.m. on May 23, 1979 your mommy was born!! That was 30 years ago yesterday. My my how time flies, my baby is having a baby and I am having the pleasure of remembering all the little things when I was carrying her in my tummy like she is with you. Warning - don't be late and don't eat too many watermelon seeds - they tend to blow up (haha)!
hugs, kisses, skwishes, Grammy
